Everything happens as per the Swami's wish!! Shri Swami Samartha Vishramdham is no exception to it.
The story starts in early 2000.In the wee hours of morning an old Yogi came in to dream of Gopal Arun Dixit aka Dixit Sir.
"उठ, मी इथे आलो आहे. तू ये. तू ये. मूळ-मूळ-मूळ मूळ पुरूष वडाचे झाड-दत्तनगर मला सेवा दे. अगरबत्ती -नैवेद्य दे-उठ, मी आलो आहे."
Dixit sir unaware of Swami ignored this vision like any other ordinary dream. However, he saw repetitive visions of an old Yogi with full of compassion and grace lying under a banyan tree asking for a service.
Dixit Sir's visions continue as before. Now people around him saw no harm in following the orders of the old Yogi but Dixit sir was not convinced. He was puzzled by simple question, why shall I serve the Yogi if I don't know him?
This time there was a new vision. There was a water well and two Audumber (Ficus) tree. People going round the Audumber tree, a temple in front of a Banyan tree, next to it Anna Chatra (Food service). Devotees queueing up for Prasad, devotees going round the Banyan tree and echo of
"अनंतकोटी ब्रम्हांडनायक राजाधिराज श्रीगुरु स्वामी समर्थ महाराज की जय"
Dixit sir baffled by his new vision, narrated it to his family. Mrs Dixit, at once realised that this is none other than Akkalkot Maharaj Swami Samartha and the place described by Sir is none other than Akkalkot.The description of the vision matched with Akkalkot muth.
This added to the confusion of Dixit Sir as he never visited Akkalkot or worshiped Swami. Why was he chosen by Swami? There were so many ardent followers of Swami in the village. Then there was the owner of the land where the Banyan tree was situated. However out of all this Swami chose Dixit Sir, why?
Dixit Sir discussed this vision with some of the Swami Bhakta in the village. But Dixit Sir himself not convinced with the vision could not convince the villagers.
Dixit Sir left with no choice but to follow Swami's instruction. Dixit Sir started following the guidance of Swami.
In May 2001, on an auspicious day excavation started around the instructed spot for a water well. Excavation continued for a day without much luck. Dixit Sir, was ridiculed by the villagers. However Dixit Sir was calm and patient. There was this inner voice assuring him that everything will happen as per the Swami's wish.
On the second day of excavation large crack was spotted. As soon as the crack was cleared of debris, springs of fresh water started flowing through.
Within a few minutes the well was filled with fresh water. Dixit Sir was ecstatic, tears of joy rolled over his cheek. Such is a love of our beloved Swami.
After this incident Dixit Sir along with Mrs Dixit visited Akkalkot for the first time. Dixit Sir was asked to install Paduka in Vikramgadh.
This was all new to Dixit Sir. He wasn't sure, how to go about it.
After returning to Vikramgadh, Dixit Sir sought guidance from beloved Swami. In another vision Swami asked Dixit Sir to wait till Audumber tree grows. Dixit Sir was left with no choice than wait, meanwhile he started visiting different muth to gather some information. He could not get much information as each muth functions in a unique way.
After a wait of a year and half Audumber tree sprouted near water well and Dixit Sir was relieved. Over the period of time Swami guided his devotees to go to Vikramgadh to give Seva and Vikramgadh muth was getting built slowly.
on 21st May 2003 morning 11:00, Shravan nakshtra beloved Swami's Paduka were installed under a Banyan tree in a small Ghumti.
Now the Paduka were installed, but what's next? Dixit Sir did not know anything about Seva, again he sought guidance from Swami.
As per the wish of Swami, they started celebrating various festivals from 2003. 21st May is celebrated as a consecration day by vikramgadh muth. Muth became busy with the celebration of religious festivals and spiritual activities. Devotees started experiencing the grace of beloved Swami.
After the consecration of Paduka Kadunimba and Krushna tulas sprouted near Banyan tree.
Suddenly one evening feeling of remorse gripped Dixit Sir. There was a feeling that he is not able to give satisfactory Seva to beloved Swami. Choked with emotions he burst into tears in front of Swami. Suddenly Swami appeared in front of Dixit Sir and assured him
"Wake up!!! you are just a medium, Have no fear, Have no doubt. I am always with you. I will be always present in the Paduka same form as you perceive me now."
With everyday passed by muth started flourishing as per the wish of beloved Swami.
In 2005 Shankar Maharaj gave vision to one of his devotees and asked for a service in Vikramgadh.
In 2006 Dhundiraj appeared in a dream of Dixit Sir and asked for a place next to beloved Swami.
Dixit Sir was overwhelmed with these experiences as this was an unknown area for him.
22nd Feb 2007 work started for bigger hall for muth. It proved to be herculean task for Dixit Sir. He received suggestions from different places regarding the architecture of muth. Some people claimed that muth should have Kalas(temple dome) and another claimed that Kalas is not required. There was another argument about the difference between Temple and muth. Dixit Sir ignored all the suggestion and decided to proceed as per Swamis instruction.
Throughout all this year Dixit Sir had to face many tough tests from beloved swami. Something similar happens on on 22nd Feb 2007. After evening Aarti Dixit sir reached his pocket for mobile and instead of mobile he was struck by something like an electric shock. One of devotees, fortunately Doctor by profession, noticed a black scorpion getting out the pocket. After basic first aid Dixit sir almost forgot about this.
Next morning when he reached to Swami Paduka, he was surprised to find them turn into black in colour. Swami has saved his beloved son. Guru maulee took the venom on him to protect her child. This was an important lesson for Dixit sir. Swami made him aware that there could many more back scorpions to come on this journey, but one should be equanimous to such situations.
Meanwhile Swami also gave verdict on the design of Muth, "गुढी उभार धर्मध्वज फडकव" Swami asked for a simple math. The swami's words were "जसे तुझे तसे माझे".
As per the guidance of Swami, many helping hands joined in and within a few months new building for muth was up and running. The new building happened to be unique in its way. It has twelve pillars, seven windows, two doors, eight steps.
Seven windows represent presence of Saptarshi or 7 days of week. Two door signify para-apara vidya, jiva-shiva , Atma-parmatma, vivek-vairagya .Eight step represent ashtanga yog, ashta satvik bhav and ashta gyan. twelve pillar represent 12 months of year.
In 2009 photo frame of Shankar Maharaj was consecrated in front of Swami as per the wish of the maharaj.
Every morning sun showers its presence on the idol of Dhundiraj, Swami's picture, Shankar Mahraj's picture and on the Paduka under a Banyan tree. And they follow the same sequence during sun set.
In July 2010 Dixit Sir had to face another test. He got transferred to Kalyan. After staying away for three years Swami called him back to Vikramgadh, "माझी अनास्था होत आहे, तू ताबडतोब निघ कुटुंबासह." On 25th December 2013 Dixit sir shifted back to swami's Vishramdham..
In 2015 Dhyanmandir was built as per instruction from Swami.
It has been an interesting journey for Dixit Sir so far, but now the time has come to reach out to the world. Millions of devotees will now connect to beloved Swami and Swami's Vishramdham.
